QUINOA! A new food to my palette, I love it. Quinoa is a superfood. People consider it a whole grain, but it’s really a seed. It replaces rice perfectly. It’s far superior to rice since it has tons of protein (a vegetarians dream), is gluten free, quicker to cook and tastes delicious on it’s own.
I adapted this recipe to conform to my very specific tastes and I have since made it so many times. These burgers are super easy to make. Smell amazing (my coworkers always ask what I am heating up) and taste delicious, like really really delicious.
2 of my ever so favorite things in the world of food are dill and goat cheese, so combining them was an easy decision (although sometimes when I don’t have goat cheese I use feta). Since goat cheese is such a soft cheese, when you combine the freshly cooked quinoa to the bowl to mix it up, the goat cheese melts, giving every single bite of the patty some delightful goat cheese goodness. And dill. Dill should be added to almost everything.
